Ostrava is the third biggest city in the Czech Republic and is located close to the borders with Poland and Slovakia. The formerly purely industrial city is now undergoing economic, social and environmental transformation supported by a wide range of public and private sector organisations. One of the tools of the city's restructuring is the Strategic Development Plan 2017-2023, the creation of which has become unique in the Czech Republic because of involvement 20 ths. of experts, personalities, organisations and residents of the city. As we approach the end of the current strategic plan, we are looking for new ways and means to involve and educate citizens in the city planning process. We expect a potential partner to share innovative examples of good practice that will help us become a leader in strategic urban planning in the Czech Republic.
