Objective of the Project |
Main goal of the project will be a comprehensive techno-economic study of CCS technologies (pre-combustion, oxyfuel and post-combustion) integration into Czech coal fired power plants. The exhaustive methodology for assessment of CCS technologies integration the based on a block diagram will be created. The methodology will allow extension of the analysis for further CCS technologies. Among project outcomes, there will be design and economic evaluation of CO2 transport in either liquid or gaseous state and of the whole CO2 chain (separation, transport, storage and/or utilization). Furthermore in this project will include a techno-economic design of specific post-combustion CCS technology (Ca-looping) implementation into IGCC type of power plant in order to comprehensively evaluate possibilities of CO2 separation before and after the process of fuel combustion.
