Objective of the Project |
The teams from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic, Lillehammer University College, Norway and University of Bergen, Norway have won a financial support to perform a research on agriculture management and climate impact on ecological rules. The aim of the research is to disentangle climatically and human based drivers of biodiversity patterns in space and time. The teams explore spatially explicit, sub-fossil samples on plant and snail assemblages as well as archaeological records and climate proxies across the Holocene (since the last Ice-Age). The research will shed light on human responsibility for biodiversity loss and recommends rules for biodiversity friendly agricultural management. |
