Objective of the Project |
Project aims to create a complex system of comprehensive therapy for long-term mentally ill patients, which includes creation and equipment of new therapy units (LVS for patients from closed wards, new workshop) and programmes (programme RESTART, multidisciplinary project team), as well as relocation and increasing capacity of the existing out-patient care outside the hospital and building of a new day-time psycho-therapeutic facility for organic disorder treatment. The complex system of psychiatric care includes improvement and extension of cultural and leisure-time activities for patients, a broad de-stigmatization campaign and staff training, as well as cooperation with partners in order to exchange best practice methods in the area and cooperation in creating new programmes. The need to implement the project is primarily based on the analysis of the existing environment, follows onto the existing standard of care provided by the Applicant, condition and trends in psychiatric care in the Czech Republic, and reflects micro and macro influences. The subject of this project is closely linked to national trends in providing psychiatric care and complies with the conceptual strategic documents on national and regional level. The chief objective of the project is create conditions for development and implementation of the complex care programme in care and therapy treatment, which will allow monitoring and evaluation of patients and their relocation outside the treatment institution into community care and to return the patient into normal life. The created programme of complex therapy will lead to reduced hospitalization time and easier and faster return of the patient to his community. The project results will have positive influence within the framework of the planned transformation of psychiatric car in the Region. Project will be implemented by the Applicant in cooperation with partner from the donor state. Project is prepared for implementation, all professional activities were defined, project documentation is in place and the necessary equipment has been defined as well as other related services ensuring that project results are duly met.
