Prison service of the Czech Republic implements through Norway Grants 2009-2014 five pre-defined projects in the framework of the CZ15 Programme, which are mainly focused on increasing competences of prisoners and prison employees.

The prisons in Nové Sedlo, Opava and Příbram are going to extend their capacities for treatment of prisoners. Thanks to Norway Grants new workrooms and classrooms, which will serve for retraining and educational courses, are going to be built by the end of April 2016.

Higher qualification will make it easier for prisoners to integrate back to society and also to reduce the risk of repeated crimes.
