The EEA and Norway Grants have become partners in the tenth annual Yellow Ribbon Run. It takes place every year in the first half of June and points to the fact that in the case of imprisoned people, or persons who have served a sentence, prejudices must be put aside and they should be given a second chance.
The integration of people with a criminal past back into society is the leitmotif of the run. And so that it is not possible to tell who is who, all runners run in a T-shirt with the yellow ribbon logo. This tradition came to the Czech Republic from Singapore, but the Czech specifics are that even convicted people themselves run here. 15 of them directly participated in the main run in Prague 6 (Hvězda park) and on the course they met with media-famous personalities, politicians, representatives of non-profit organizations, of Czech Prison Service, Czech Probation Service... Or with our two teams #fondyehp (#eeagrants) and #norskefondy (#norwaygrants) consisting of project and financial managers of the EEA and Norway Grants.
But we were not only on the track - you could visit us at the promotional stand that we set up together with the Norwegian Embassy near the main stage. The Norwegian Embassy has been participating in the race for a long time, while this was only our (EEA and Norway Grants) second time.
The 10th annual Yellow Ribbon Run was a great success, the atmosphere was unique and we are glad that we were able to support a good cause.
