Project description:

The aim of this project is to network and strengthen the dance and performing arts criticism in Europe. In the Czech Republic, conditions of expert-field critique are rather limited in the number of possibilities for intensive cooperation between subjects. The goal is to contribute to the positive development in this situation.

The aim of this project is to establish a close cooperation between domestic and international representatives of dance critique. The asset of the project lies in sharing experiences and good practice alike, building up of new contacts and organization of workshops for the future talents of critical reflection.

Support on this project will greatly impact the quality of not only dance critique, but the whole dance field. The close link between dance and its reflection as observed in the Czech Republic will result in a direct and positive impact on the quality of Czech dance production.

Thanks to the cooperation with the donor project partner, the project will help internationalizing Czech dance criticism, cooperation with other dance critic’s networks, reflect contemporary dance and performing arts from the wider perspective. The project will also strengthen the audience engagement and wider reflection of contemporary art and culture, the open panel discussion will promote Czech dance and theory.
