Project description:

The project will contribute to the development of music criticism focused on the alternative or independent music scene and strengthen its inspirational and motivational role reflecting in creators of this culture - artists, bands, but also organizers, clubs, other music professionals and journalists and the public.

The aim of the project is professionalization of the editorial board of the AlterEcho platform that will cover regularly and effectively music events – especially its non-traditional form, seek ways of understanding contemporary music art. Essentially related to this is the offering of space for discussion both in the online environment and in the comfortable space of a community centre or club where a personal meeting takes place.

The project will double the volume of published texts, which will focus on authorial journalism – interviews and reports, comments and articles reflecting young Czech (or Slovak) work. During the implementation of the project, the existing and further cooperation with related, non-profit and culturally active organizations will be deepened. This cooperation network will also contribute to increasing the impact of the project and spreading its publicity. A great benefit can also be seen in the sharing of experience, know-how, and exchange of perspectives among musicians, critics, reviewers, promoters and artists
