Objective of the Project | Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in the air need to be monitored Air pollution by polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) is a highly current and monitored topic. The reason is that some PAHs have serious effects on human health, including carcinogenic effects, and the measured values of benzo[a]pyrene (BaP) at many stations in the Czech Republic regularly exceed the annual limit concentration value set in legislation. The aim of the project is the elaboration of action plans for the Vysočina Region and the South Moravian Region, which will define new measures to reduce BaP concentrations, which will clarify the PZKO zone Southeast CZ06Z 2020+. The purpose is to perform and evaluate a detailed measurement of PAH concentrations incl. BaP at selected 60 localities in the South Moravian Region and 60 localities in the Vysočina Region, on the basis of which action plans and proposed measures will be elaborated. |
