Summary:

The Unie ROSKA organisation focuses on supporting patients with multiple sclerosis, whose position in society and the health care system is not adequately taken into account. The patient organization coordinates the ROSKA branch associations and provides methodological support in all regions of the Czech Republic. The project will focus on raising awareness about multiple sclerosis, clarifying myths and promoting prevention.

For the Union's long-term and sustainable action, the organisation needs to maintain and strengthen the key positions that are responsible for running the organisation, liaising with associations and working directly with clients. It wants to maintain the high quality and intensity of education of branch association chairmen and to maintain services for the clients: information service (online social counselling) and training of rehabilitation trainers to support clients' physical activities.

The project includes a partnership with a Norwegian partner. It will focus on sharing good practices in healthy eating for the chronically ill, strengthening the membership base and strategic fundraising. A significant added value of the partnership is the partner’s extensive experience with strategic management, financial self-sufficiency and community building.
