Project description:

The aim of the project is to create a new unique Agáta Centre for victims of domestic and gender-based violence, which will provide them with services and assistance beyond the services provided by the Intervention Centres.

The Centre will implement other forms of work with victims of domestic violence such as: working with the whole family system (including work with violent persons), use of the centre's garden for relaxation, art therapy, occupational therapy, zoo therapy and also spiritual support thanks to the presence of a priest who lives on the premises. There will be a position of "integration worker for foreigners" who will provide interpretation and support for foreign victims.

Thanks to the project and the construction of the Agáta Centre, the problems of persons at risk will be comprehensively addressed. The problems related to housing after leaving a violent person, the psychological state or therapeutic needs of victims and the availability of legal counselling for victims of violence. The aim of the Agáta Centre will be the overall stabilisation of families affected by domestic violence and the subsequent integration of the members of these families into normal life without violence.
