Project description:
The project focuses on the prevention of domestic violence through the implementation of a therapeutic programme for men who do not cope with aggression in relationships in the South Moravian Region, Brno. The aim is to support an established counselling and therapeutic workplace and at the same time to promote its activities and the topic of work with violent persons in the region.
The objective will be achieved through the implementation of two key activities:
- Implementation of therapeutic programmes (individual sessions, groups and weekends) for perpetrators of violence - men.
- Implementation of therapeutic programmes for LGBTQ+ perpetrators of violence
The project will create the first-ever therapeutic programme for ending gender-based violence among LGBTQ+ perpetrators. The project will start with a comprehensive analysis of existing attitudes and willingness to perceive and address gender-based violence among relevant LGBTQ+ professions.
The project will be implemented in the South Moravian Region. It will strengthen the current workplace of the „I Want to Control Anger“ programme, which provides counselling and therapeutic services of the new programme, directly in the building of the Spondea organisation. The aim of the programme for people who cannot control aggression is to provide the perpetrators and perpetrators of gender-based violence with basic information about the manifestations and consequences of gender-based violence and to help them find solutions to their situation.
Promotion and awareness-raising will be conducted for the professional and general public and will be aimed at media coverage of programmes and activities related to therapeutic programs for men who do not experience aggression in relationships.
