Project description:

The goal of the project is to build Roma people civil society through the activities of the platform, discussions on Roma people achievements, and workshops for officials.

The project will create a platform that will participate in building Roma civil society and will support dialogue between organizations working with Roma people, public administration and other entities involved in the inclusion and empowerment of Roma people in Prague. The project will also provide a workshop for civil servants and create a manual for civil servants working with the Roma minority, with the aim of deepening knowledge about Roma for public authorities at regional and local level.

The expected benefits of the project are the development of Roma civil society; the issuance of recommendations that will contribute to smoother Roma integration; the empowerment of Roma people, improving the majority society's view of members of the Roma minority; increasing the motivation of members of the Roma minority to achieve something; and improving the understanding of the specifics of the Roma minority by officials of public administration bodies, thus significantly improving the efficiency of work and communication on both sides.
