Project description:
The aim of the project is to support the inclusion and empowerment of Roma people in the Czech Republic, especially in the Moravian-Silesian and Olomouc regions. In order to achieve this goal, a cooperation platform will be created that will offer the implementation of workshops, courses, trainings or other activities supporting community work and the creation of a positive image of Roma people.
The cooperation platform will be ensured by the participation of the Roma minority at the local and regional level. The project will focus on the activation and empowerment of Roma people within the framework of community work in socially excluded localities (in 3 cities and 6 localities (3 localities Opava, 2 localities Krnov, 1 locality Moravský Beroun). This will support, strengthen and improve the quality of community work at local levels, with the intention of facilitating access to and promoting the fundamental rights of the Roma ethnic group.
Partnership with pro-Roma NGOs is also an important aspect of the project. The benefits can be seen in mutual support, complementarity and sharing of experiences between different cities and localities. The importance of the partnership with the towns involved will lie in particular in the promotion of community work on the territory of the towns, the involvement in a platform of cooperation and publicity.
Overall, the project will contribute to improving the positive image of Roma people and strengthening their inclusion and position in society.
