Project description:
The main objective of the project is to contribute to the elimination of prejudice, racial and national intolerance, gender stereotypes and homophobia among today's adolescent generation and to strengthen the active participation of young people in the protection of human rights, democratic values and multiculturalism.
The project will focus on human rights education in primary and secondary schools across the Czech Republic. Using innovative educational methods such as teaching through documentary film, it will offer teachers a unique opportunity to open up these topics in the classroom, engage students through project activities and develop discussion.
A set of educational materials (designed for pedagogical staff) will be developed that will address extremism, racism, prejudice, social inclusion of minorities, xenophobia, and developments in non-democratic regimes.
The project will contribute to the promotion of innovative educational approaches in the field of human rights in Czech schools and to the strengthening of young people's active involvement in the protection of human rights as part of civic engagement.
