Project description:

The project aims to create two new platforms. The work of the platforms will consist of connecting Roma organizations and their representatives, who will exchange experiences at joint meetings.

The project is situated in two localities of the Liberec Region - Jablonec and Tanvald and Frýdlant. The project also includes an information campaign aimed at reducing mutual distrust between the majority and minority, a series of events to promote both the public administration's knowledge of Roma people and the skills of Roma people to advocate for their own development and better integration.

The benefits of the project can be seen in the long-term and systematic work, support and activation of Roma minorities in both territories, connecting Roma leaders, strengthening social capital and the ability to communicate with public administration in defending their own interests and fulfilling their needs, improving the ability to communicate with the majority, as well as in promoting self-confidence and identity, or the link to traditions in cultural activities of interest.
