Project description:
The aim of the project of the Ministry of Justice in cooperation with the project partners - University College of Norwegian Correctional Service (KRUS), the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic is to create a common education system for stakeholders.
The subject matter of the project is therefore to create a common platform for sharing and transferring know-how, establishing and strengthening contacts among the employees of the Prison service of the Czech Republic (PS), the Probation and mediation service (PMS), social curators, employees of non-governmental non-profit organizations and other employees and experts in relevant areas. Only interconnected care system for these persons can lead to their successful integration back into the society.
The project will create new/revised education programs in relevant areas, which improve the quality in area of the treatment of the convicts also in the area of managerial and communication and other skills. The creation of a common system of education will eliminate duplication in the education of individual subjects.
Cooperation in the areas of intersection between penitentiary and post-penitentiary care is considered to be crucial. The innovation of the project lies in the involvement of these entities and strengthening their networking. The aim of the project is to improve the quality of client care by increasing the qualifications, knowhow and competencies of the persons providing care to perpetrators of criminal offences (including convicted prisoners and offenders serving alternative sentences).
Key activities:
The framework for a common educational system consists of 5 modules:
- Innovation of basic training systems used by the PS CR and the PMS;
- Education for managers;
- Collaborative research
- Preparation for safe release;
- Psychohygiene and prevention of burnout syndrome;
