Objective of the Project |
The purpose of the submitted project is increase of general public awareness of biodiversity and its protection and general motivation to protect biodiversity in everyday life through a complex educational activity, active involvement of citizens and model teaching programmes. Project outputs - courses in practical protection of biodiversity and courses in protection of big beasts, learning modules for secondary and undergraduate students, extensive media and educational activities including a conference on biodiversity at Regiontour 2016 - addressing more than 300,000 individuals of the target groups - and active involvement of over 1,000 persons in practical activities of biodiversity protection. The project also includes innovative research and evaluation activities and know-how transfer between the Norwegian entity possessing extensive experience in educational campaigns and Czech project partners, through which long-tem bilateral cooperation will be established. The main project outcome will be mediation of information on biodiversity easy to understand and attractively presented to several hundred thousand people who have so far been unable to learn more about the theme in a form comprehensible for them. Thus the project will significantly contribute to elimination of the problem of low awareness of biodiversity in the Czech Republic. |
