The National Institute of Mental Health and the "Smile of the Mum" NGO focused on the issue of women's mental health during pregnancy and motherhood. This is an area that has never been systematically addressed in the Czech Republic. The project carried out a study that could form the basis of a universal screening of the psyche of mothers and a system of help for mothers in need.

Charity Ostrava, the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Ostrava together with their partners realized a project aimed at disseminating information about living with dementia and supporting informal caregivers.
