Objective of the Project |
The project deals with the reconstruction of the bridge located on a local road of the town of Jeseník. Uncovered foundations are one of the defects along with the undermining of the foundations, the bridge has no insulation, the wet steel construction is corroding. Crossbeams under the pavement part are deformed, some are heavily corroded. The overall condition of the structure is very bad as well as the condition of the supporting structure of the bridge. The bridge construction corresponds to the age and the materials used, technology and quality of work. The steel lattice construction made of cast steel was manufactured in 1901 by the bridge works of Vítkovice mines. The lower construction and stone support were manufactured by the Franz Gröger company in Jeseník. The lower bridge deck includes parts from the Zores company. The technical monument in question represents the first sample of the use of a riveted bridge construction in the Jeseník area. The bridge is in a critical condition according to the conclusions of the main bridge inspection carried out by Ing. Jaroslav Ostrejš in December 2011. Due to the above reasons the Town of Jeseník, the administration managing the road, submitted the project. Given the bridge condition and the fact that the bridge is a technical monument the decision was made to remove the existing bituminous layers and the unoriginal pavement constructions and to reconstruct the bridge so that it is similar to the original construction after the initial completion. |
