Objective of the Project |
Festivals organized by the project partners in Prague (4+4 days in Motion) and Bergen (Meteor) become platforms for presentation of Czech and Norwegian artists. The festivals are decisive and important factors for the possibilities of live art international mobility and help Czech and Norwegian art fight their way to the international art “market”. They often work as key impulses for future career advancement of artists, companies or projects. Festivals often present art development abroad to the audiences and media and offer the artists and theatre reviewers confrontation with current activities in the context. This is the reason why they are usually the first entrance of Czech and Norwegian “emerging” artists to international stages. The project comprises of several various forms of outputs using different cultural and political experience in the Czech Republic and Norway: presentations of Czech and Norwegian” emerging” artists and curators (25 artists from Norway; 15 artists from Czech Republic, 7 curators from Norway, 30 curators from the EU), critical seminars, discussions and the international symposium for the general public and media. The projects allow Czech and Norwegian artists and cultural workers to be inspired by curator activities abroad and establish contacts they can use in their future work. |
