The project aims to increase awareness of the gender pay gap among the Czech public, to initiate a society-wide discussion of the GPG and to search for mechanisms to prevent it. In the project, the Gender Information Centre NORA (NGO) will cooperate with the Public Defender of Rights Office.
A campaign aimed at the broader public will be run all over the country. Eight videos will be shot with selected respectable public figures. The videos will be shown on public TV, DVTV, YouTube, in cinemas, on social media and at film festivals. In all regional capitals, debates with citizens on GPG will be carried out. Apart from public debates, project days on GPG will be held at secondary schools with students. Another activity carried out in regional capitals has the form of roundtables with social partners. The roundtables will focus on the search for concrete solutions to GPG. Based on outputs of a data analysis using available datasets and on feedback from the social partners, a position paper will be elaborated. An international conference for experts will be held at the Public Defender of Rights Office. As a result, a collection of conference contributions will be published.
