Objective of the Project |
Children are witnesses of domestic violence in 90% of cases. These children are at risk of CAN syndrome though there are not well accessible specialized services for them that would help them to cope with consequences of domestic violence. Even after divorce child is often still influenced by the conflict of the parents and by un-sensitive interventions of institutions. The objective of the project is to build innovative system of work with whole family which is at risk of domestic violence. This system will protect interests of child, provide complex and sensitive help to children and families at risk and contribute to decreasing of appearance of domestic violence. The principle is a separate work with the originator of the violence, the person at risk and the child as a witness of domestic violence (three pillars). These three pillars create for child a safety bridge in the storm of divorce as a result of domestic violence. To achieve these goals we will open Prague centre of complex help for children at risk of domestic violence, work up expert and methodological materials and initiate creation of expert platform. Study about influence of domestic violence to psycho-social development of child will be created thanks to partnership with the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs. The project will be supported by the “What´s ordinary at home” campaign focused among others on children at risk. |
